Alexandra Louise Harris has a great interest in reading and writing. She is a great fan of Roald Dahl and Agatha Christie, and has her own alter ego—the murder-mystery writer Agatha Bellsy.

She has completed courses in writing through the Australian Writers' Centre and so far has made it to 'The End' of nine manuscripts.

Violetta and the Venetian Violin is a time-slip fantasy, written by Alexandra Louise Harris, set in Australia in 2017 and Venice in 1717. Violetta, a twelve-year-old girl, unexpectedly time travels to the eighteenth century and finds herself on a quest to make it back home. Along the way, she encounters all kinds of unexpected events and becomes a member of a very unique quartet. 

Violetta's next adventure, The Problem with Paganini takes place in Paris, and is a complicated adventure to track down her friends.

Agatha Bellsy's Murder Amidst the Ashes is a duel time-line mystery set in England in 1877, and Tasmania in 1912. It features Anastasia Grey, who in escaping a fraught love affair, finds herself solving a case connected to letters left to her by her Great Aunt Susanna.

This year, Anastasia will embark on a sequel investigation, involving a string of murders and a trip to Antarctica with the Mawson expedition.
